Social Media Mastery - What’s the Most Viral Niche on Social Media? - Episode 22
Episode 22. I am loving the Summer!
As you're reading this, I’m most likely still in Valencia, living it up in the hot Spanish sun! This weekend, I’m heading to my first ever Formula One race in Budapest, and I’m sooooo excited.
I actually create F1 themed content on social media, and it recently got me thinking…
What is the Most Viral Niche on Social Media?
Most people believe content creation is easy. I try to assure them that it’s anything but. But what if there was a way to make it easier?
Finding a niche on social media is like playing a game on an easier difficulty setting - you still have to play the game, but it’s just easier to complete. If you can find your people in the digital world, they’ll help you grow your content and treat you like an ally.
If you find a niche, it means people know what to expect from your content. So, if they love one post, they’ll likely love anything else you create.
I can’t provide a reference, as I’m unsure whose quote I’m borrowing, but I remember hearing that you want to find your 20%. This means it doesn’t matter what 80% of people think about your content, if you can find the 20% who love you, you’ll succeed.
So now you know why you should find a niche, but what niche should that be?
Well according to sellfy.com, the highest profitable Instagram niches in 2025 are:
Travelling
Beauty
Fashion
Health and Fitness
Lifestyle
Parenting
Business
Music
Photography
Food
Animals
In my opinion:
This is fine, however, not only are they too broad, but everyone is already doing content in these areas. If you truly believe you can come in and take over ‘food’ as an industry on social media - then fair play - however I strongly doubt that anyone reading this will be able to.
However, I believe you may have more chance taking over the ‘$1 food’ niche (which is people creating meals that cost less than a dollar), or maybe the ‘Wedding food’ niche?
What I am trying to say is, I would target a much smaller niche or as I like to say ‘nicher niche’, rather than going for one of the big boys.
Also, and I believe it should go without saying, go with what you are a specialist in. Whether that is your businesses industry, or whether it is Olympic Swimming, whatever it might be, just go with your niche!
